Dominic Laxamana - Piece for Granulated Piano #2

Using a recording of my piano playing from a gig with my band Fire
Underwater, I created a brief musique concrète composition where
the piano keys are transformed into something akin to the gangsa,
with primary differences heard in upper harmonics. Piece for
Granulated Piano #2 takes inspiration from an interlocking gong
pattern by the Kalinga people. The patterns then intertwine with
expeditious applications of pitch modulation, stereo panning, and
contextually contrasting piano lines morphed into pads.
